Painting of all exterior woodwork and doors and the staining and finishing of the sacristy cabinets will occur during May.
Lee Slusher (with the consult of Bette Wright) will organize a spring clean-up.
Because of the vestry resignations of Alex Davis and Sherri Carper (and an already vacant position), we now have 3 new vestry members: Kristi McCraw, Jack Brockway, and Jennifer Hand.
Approximately 30 people attended the Lenten Event on the Sunday evening it was held at Grace.
Plans continue for the 125th anniversary celebration which will take place in Oct. Final date and location of luncheon are being determined now. This committee meets every 2-3 weeks.
Plans are being made to share more detailed information about the current “state of Grace” and our search process.
Thank you to the Olga Harvill Family
We would like to thank the family of Olga Harvill for the donation of Olga's piano to Grace. Because of the higher quality of this piano, it has replaced the previous piano in our sanctuary. The vestry was very pleased to gift the previous piano to our secretary, Christine Brame. Her daughters had been practicing their lessons on a keyboard and are now very excited to have a piano. There is a wonderful thank-you card from the Brames on the Parish Hall bulletin board so be sure to look for it.
Radford Food Pantry
Grace's outreach for May is the Food Pantry. The Food Pantry is especially in need of the following items:
· Peanut Butter
· Spaghetti Sauce
· Diapers ( sizes 3, 4, & 5)
Other non-perishable items are also welcome as we will soon be entering into a time when children are not in school and that places an additional need for food through other means.
Monetary donations are very much needed as this allows the staff to buy additionally needed items not donated.
Thank you for your generosity
Please May Monthly Mission in the memo line of your check.
